Amazing Grace

We've been offline for a couple of weeks due to problems with the internet but we're back now and with Broadband! Yippee!

Important news to begin with: Angelo is engaged and hoping to marry Fi in the autumn. Big congratulations to both of them! I would have posted a photo here of them - if Angelo had remembered to email it to me!

Sian Thomas, who'll be given away by Paul, marries Paul here tomorrow, Saturday, 10th March. We pray blessings on their marriage and their life together.

On Sunday morning, Helen Crawford is speaking about baptism.

There were approximately 4 million slaves living when the Abolition Bill was passed on 25 March 1807. Today, more than 12 million people live in forms of modern-day slavery, including forced labour on farms, domestic service – even drug trafficking or sex work."
On Saturday 24th, we’re having a Freedom Day Drop-in where you’re invited to come along, find out more, pray, watch some short films and sign a petition. That’s followed in the evening by a short multi-media presentation on Slavery Today.
On Sunday 25th, with churches all over the UK, we’ll be celebrating Amazing Grace Sunday.
