Christmas is coming!

After a brilliant and innovative open meeting yesterday, we now look forward to next Sunday when Nick Burton will tell us what inspires him.

We're starting to get that Christmas spirit! Janet and Liz are singing 'It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!'

Save money! Save trees!
Ensure that nobody is left off your Christmas card list!
Send a greeting to Linden people by emailing the office and telling us what you'd like to say. We ask people here for a donation but if you're living away we'll trust you to make a charity donation in your own area.

quick update

I'm assured by Chris that the blokes' weekend was a wonderful must-be-repeated experience but he says he's not at liberty to tell me what happened on it. Let's just say that Alun isn't in work today following the weekend ...

Next Sunday we round off the series on the Lord's prayer with an open meeting and communion. The following Sunday, 30th November, Nick Burton is speaking about what inspires him.

We've now finished the series of Sunday morning teaching on the Lord's prayer. If you missed any of it, you can log into our new super-duper whizzy website and download the podcast.

This coming Sunday, 16th November, Nigel Mason is talking about what inspires him. The following week we have an open meeting focusing on communion and a round-up of the Lord's prayer.

It's likely to be quiet in church next weekend as many of our bravest and best (plus Alun) are away on a blokes' weekend. It's called a blokes' weekend because, while you know what will happen on a men's weekend, what will happen on a blokes' weekend is out there on the edge. (Alun said.)

Super early advance notice: the annual Christmas Carol Concert will take place at Linden on Sunday, 21st December, from 7.00 pm. Admission is free but there will be a collection in aid of a charity.
