And there's more!

Along with other major players in the chocolate industry, Nestlé USA committed to ending child labour on cocoa farms by July 2005, but the abuse continues. To petition Nestlé USA to take action, go here:

You can edit the letter (and amend the American spelling) as you wish before emailing it.

The Community Cafe is again open at Red Cafe during the Easter holidays. From Monday to Friday for the next two weeks, you can call in between 11 am and 4 pm for coffee and cakes, snacks and soups.

Situated on Mumbles Road, just opposite Southend Park, the cafe is very child-friendly with sofas and toys, and children's meals. A lot of the produce is fairtrade and completely vegetarian.

A future number 10?

Big congratulations to Jon and Becky Matthews on the birth, on Saturday 17th March, of their first child, Rowan James. (Named after the illustrious Mr Hook who played such a game-winning part in Wales's victory over England.)

Aidan Mackenzie arrived safely on Monday, 12th March - no photo available yet - so now we're just waiting to hear from Debbie and Eyob. The rash - sorry, rush - of babies continues with Cath and Heidi later on in the Spring.
Lots of love, prayers and blessings to them all.

Better late than never

On a beautiful morning at the beginning of February a group of Lindenites did a Run of Perseverance.

They ran from Pennard to the Cenotaph in Brynmill, stopping along the way to pray for Iraq. The run was the idea of Cathy Hancox who'd been inspired on hearing the phrase, 'run of perseverance'. She felt that perseverance would be needed in praying for any change in the situation in Iraq.

Some walkers joined the runners for the later stages of the event and they all gathered at the Cenotaph for some finishing-off prayers.

Amazing Grace

We've been offline for a couple of weeks due to problems with the internet but we're back now and with Broadband! Yippee!

Important news to begin with: Angelo is engaged and hoping to marry Fi in the autumn. Big congratulations to both of them! I would have posted a photo here of them - if Angelo had remembered to email it to me!

Sian Thomas, who'll be given away by Paul, marries Paul here tomorrow, Saturday, 10th March. We pray blessings on their marriage and their life together.

On Sunday morning, Helen Crawford is speaking about baptism.
